I am with yo, I think it is ridiculous that you can't apply the encrypt selection without downloading dangerous tertiary party software?What is the use of creating an choice and than grey it out! Very disappointed

the Encrypt contents to secure data check box. is greyed out so I cant use it?
I take the latest win 10 update (updated yesterday) and hard drive is formatted to NTFS

Well this IS ridiculous. In this twenty-four hours and age with cybersecurity a priority at all times. So how secure are folders I store in I Bulldoze? Ridiculous. I think MS should fire whomever designed this software.

I followed the directions above to encrypt a folder. While I see where I demand to check the encryption, it is unavailable to check. I can only compress. Is there a way to arrive available? And why wouldn't information technology be bachelor?

I have the exact aforementioned problem. I follow the Microsoft encryption directions precisely, and the encryption box is greyed out. When I try to click on it, cipher happens. The encryption is unavailable, and then the Microsoft directions do not work at all! Why are these directions given when they do not work?

this is useless. why have folder/file protection off windows 10. propose it exist written back into the next auto update along with one-time media role player facility.
